Music and its influences.

Influence and power.

Music has always had the power to control peoples emotions and have influence over certain age groups, especially teenagers. It is because of this that artists and musicians have a lot of control over the younger generation.

From personal experiences I can confirm that music definitely controls my emotions if not influences me into making some decisions. Just when we thought teenage life isn't hard enough there is also a possibility that we are not making decisions ourselves.

I have been in various situations where music has often changed my mind about someone but it isn't always negative. Music also has lead me in the right direction and has given me prospects. Music also provides us with role models and for some people direction.

Amazing music.

Possibly the best band ever?

Passion.

Music is a huge passion of mine and my family and I have frequent debates in our household on who listens to the best genre. I myself listen to indie/ rock alternative, similar to my father. My brother listens to dub-step totally contrasting to my mum who listens to more mainstream music.

Even now as I am writing I am listening to music (two door cinema club- undercover Martyn. Just if you wanted to know) and I always find myself singing along. Music also has a tragic downfall though it can also lead to teenagers being very depressed and can make them extremely emotional.

There have been countless times when I have been sad and have just had music from 'radiohead' on repeat, and with music being so easily accessible it isn't hard to fall into a pattern of blocking out everything and listen to really loud depressing music.

Even though it has its downside, I could not imagine living without it and when it produces amazing artists such as Amy Winehouse, how can we turn it down?
